The work shown here was made from 2000 to 2004 in Pallas studios, Dublin.

The Organic Form project is an ongoing series of work based on the connection between ourselves as animals and the more basic organic constructions such as seaweed and fungus. I seek to illustrate in paint that we are all made of the same stuff and not as different as we would like to assume.

The work shown here is made through a process of photography, digital imaging and painting. The use of contrasting media such as emulsion paint in varnish provokes unpredictable marks as the water and oil attempt to separate from each other on the canvas.
